The Chronicles of the House of Zeng: a Mysterious State in Archeological Discovery is located on the second floor of the South Hall, covering an area of 1,900 square meters. Archaeological discoveries in Hubei have garnered immense public attention in recent years, with sites like Yejia Mountain, Wenfeng Pagoda, Guojia Temple, and Sujialong captivating the public imagination. These findings represent some of the most significant achievements in the study of the Zeng State to date. The exhibition is divided into four sections—“Enfeoffment in Jianghan,” “Predominance in Handong,” “Assisting the King of the Chu,” and “Splendour Once Lost.” Through archaeological discoveries, the exhibition traces the development of the State of Zeng. It highlights how Zeng evolved from a dominant force in the Jianghan region, nourished the Chu state, and ultimately integrated into the Chu culture.
